  1. Vision & Purpose
  2. Governance & Leadership
  3. Teaching & Learning
  4. Documenting & Using Results
  5. Resources & Support Systems
  6. Stakeholder Communications & Relationships
  7. Commitment to Continuous Improvement

School Improvement Goals

Student Performance Goal:

  • All students will increase their reading comprehension skills in all curricular areas.

Learning Opportunity Goals:

  • All Ogallala Public School staff will foster and model respect.

  • All Ogallala Public School staff and students will improve the social, physical, and learning climate of our district.

Goal Selection Process

We chose the reading comprehension goal based on data from the following sources:

1.  Stanford 10 = Grades 4th, 8th, 11th

2.  DIBELS = Grades K-5

3. NE Standards Assessments- Grades = 1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, & 11

Stanford 10 results have been below the desired levels. DIBELS results show elementary students performing below benchmarks for oral reading fluency. Students' results from the 4th, 8th, & 11th NE Standards show some students performing below state cut scores.

We chose the learning opportunity goals based on the responses from the certified staff, support staff, parent, and student climate surveys. Survey summary results are included in the Unique Local Insight section and the Appendix.
